Polite Polly

       品格教育是吉的堡的教育理念之一。同时，礼貌也是幼儿需要具备的好品格之一。

       本期绘本的主人公Polly是一个小怪兽，可是她却不是一个懂礼貌的孩子。她不礼貌的行为总是让周围的人反感。妈妈警告她说,没有礼貌的孩子会得到一些惩罚。Polly却不以为然，依然我行我素，粗鲁地对待别人。终于，惩罚来了，不可思议的事情发生了……

In the morning, Polly’s grandpa and grandma are happy to see their neighbors. They say ”Good morning” to them. But, where is Polly? She is hiding behind her grandfather with an unhappy face. She doesn’t want to say hello to anyone.

Polly家里的每个人都很有礼貌，除了Polly。每天早晨，Polly的爷爷奶奶都会很高兴地跟邻居问早安；Polly的爸爸开着车也会笑着跟邻居问好，并请邻居当心看路；Polly的妈妈向送信的邮递员表示感谢。可是Polly呢？她躲在爷爷的身后，一脸不高兴，也不愿意跟任何人问好。

Polly and her mom want to take a bus. Everybody waits in line except Polly, she cuts in line.

Polly和妈妈要乘坐公交车出门，乘客排着长长的队，正按先后顺序上车。Polly却不愿排队，插队在第一个大声喊：“我要先上车。”上了车后，妈妈拉着Polly坐到座位上，Polly觉得鼻子痒痒，可她没有捂嘴，突然朝着别人打了一个喷嚏，车上的每个人都因为Polly的不礼貌而不高兴了起来。

Polly’s mom worries about Polly being rude. She tells Polly that ”Rude kids get big heads, says Mom.” Look at the big head that Polly has, that’s really not she want, Polly is scared.

Polly的不礼貌行为让妈妈很担心。妈妈告诉Polly:"不礼貌的孩子，头就会越变越大。" 没有人希望自己有一个很大的头，Polly着实有些害怕。

At the playing time, Polly takes away a teapot from her classmate without asking. At the lunch time. She talks and eats at the same time, it’s rude and not clean. Everyone in the class is not happy about it.

Polly仍然很不礼貌。游戏时间，她还没有得到同学的允许，就拿走同学的玩具；午饭时间，Polly一边说话一边吃饭。饭菜喷得到处都是，真的很不卫生。没有人喜欢不礼貌的孩子，Polly的不礼貌行为，让她的同学们都很生气。

One day, Polly falls asleep. When Polly wakes up. She has a strange feeling. Polly looks in the mirror. “Oh no!” she shouts, Polly gets a big head. She remembered what mom says to her ”Rude kids gets big heads.” Polly is rude to everyone she knows, that’s why she gets a big head. It's so horrible!

有一天早晨，Polly醒来后有一种很奇怪的感觉。她起床照了照镜子“噢，不！”Polly被吓到了，她真的有了一个好大的头。突然，Polly想起了妈妈的话：“不礼貌的孩子，头就会越变越大。”Polly对每个人都很不礼貌，所以她的头真的变大了。好可怕！
